Dr. Zaidan is great! I have been dealing with an extremely heavy menstrual cycle for years and endometriosis for as long as I can remember. After much thought and many discussions with Dr. Zaidan about all my issues I was having, I decided to go ahead with surgery. When I was scheduled for surgery, I was told that this procedure would be done at MIAS (Michigan Institute of Advanced Surgery) a surgery center. Being an O.R. nurse, I am well aware of the process to surgical procedures. I have to say, I was extremely concerned about having a hysterectomy at a surgery center! What do you mean I will be sent home right away? What? I won’t be spending one night in the hospital? These thoughts made me very nervous. When I went to my pre-op appointment, Dr. Zaidan’s M.A., Nicole B., came into the room to take my vitals just like any other visit. I must have had a certain look on my face; nervousness…scared. I ended up talking with Nicole for quite some time about my concerns. She was awesome! She said all the right things to reassure me. I won’t go into all the details of what was said, but I did feel so much better about my decision to have the surgery, about my decision of all the procedures I would be having done and about having it done at MIAS. I am 10 days post-op now. So far, I am still happy with my decision. Thank you, Nicole, for helping me in my decision making process and calming my nerves!
